The Advancement Counsel, a team of dedicated professionals rooted in the ministry of Catholic education, seeks experienced, mission-driven, advancement professionals to join the firm as full-time or adjunct consultants in providing seasoned development counsel to Catholic schools nationally. Our team embraces this ministry as a full-service development consulting firm specializing in Catholic school advancement. As an energetic, results oriented, mission-driven firm we are proud to partner with our clients in advancing the mission of Catholic education. Our emphasis is centered on a guiding and mentoring relationship providing comprehensive solutions to the varying and strategic challenges facing Catholic schools today via on-site capital campaign counsel, annual fund segmentation, major gift solicitation, planned giving, strategic planning, volunteer leadership and enrollment management, among other advancement related services.
Applicants must be mission-driven, have a minimum of 7-10+ years of development experience, demonstrated success working with Catholic institutions at the secondary or higher education level, proven leadership ability, excellent written, communication and presentation skills, outstanding organizational ability, engaging interpersonal skills, be a good listener, and maintain a personal desire to make a difference. Responsibilities will include serving Catholic schools, diocese and religious organizations, by working with institutional leadership and key volunteers in implementing comprehensive strategies along the revenue and non-revenue components of advancement. These responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, providing strategic counsel on managing capital campaigns, implementing a fully-segmented annual fund, developing a major gift program, securing planned gifts, optimizing enrollment, maximizing special events, managing volunteers, enhancing constituent relations, developing strategic communications and maintaining information and database systems.
